I was thinking the other day as I waited for the Sears repair man to arrive. It was a long thought train… and an even longer wait however because he never showed up! He scheduled the service/repair of one of my appliances like 2 weeks out, and by the time that day had arrived, I was more than ready for him to ride in on his shiny white tool box and magically fix my appliances! Like I said, that didn’t happen. And it didn’t happen the next day either. Come see the slacker side of Sears! LOL. They’ve come a long way since Bob Vila… but who needs Bob Vila anyway? Not me! Look at him sitting there just slackin’ off in that recliner! 😉

I was not a happy Sears customer that day! Oh no! Sears had left me high and dry! Well… actually high and wet, as it were, because it was my dryer that was broken. But then I realized that I had something better than a service/repair plan, better than a service tech, or repair dude. I already had a handy lesbian in the house with plenty of tools of her own! Not only did she repair the appliance that Sears dropped the ball on, but she fixed the kitchen plumbing as well… and without that unsightly hairy plumber’s crack! HA!! Now that’s what I call a service plan! 😉 I am quite sure this is one of my top 100 reasons I am glad I am a lesbian. 🙂

House Rules

We have this little plaque up on our wall in our family room: “House Rules.” I love it!

What I love most about it is the answers I got when I asked each of the three kids separately what their favorite “house rule” was.

The boys each chose (individually): “If it’s hungry–feed it”! The girl chose: “If it’s sad–love it.”

(Notice, no one chose “If it’s dirty–clean it”!!!! 😀 )
