Ode to The Lunch Lady

Anyone who is a regular “Bridge” traveler will know who this post is about.

Farewell Lunch lady,

we will miss you so.

You made us laugh,

you made us cry.

We couldn’t wait to hear about the staff… 😉

or about the ‘hey Mom’ kids who would try

to outdo themselves each time they saw

their favorite lunch lady

hopin’ maybe she’d made some fresh slaw.

Well, or something like that…

Hey, a poem can’t rhyme all the time with every line.

Just like life gives us no guarantees just choices

things we face–we’ve shared in this space…

although many of us have never heard each others voices

or seen one another face to face.

No matter, blog buddies we will remainlight_on_4u

in spite of life’s curves along the way.

“We’ll leave the light on” will be the refrain,

Bumper billboards

What is it about our car bumper that just makes us want to speak up, speak out, advertise–share our favorite foods, bands, affiliations, opinions? Our bumper is like our own personal little billboard isn’t it? If any of you are semi-regular readers of my blog… you may have deciphered what is on my bumper (OK, it may have been a little like looking for a needle in a haystack, but it’s in there).
