Jason and Molly’s wedding was the latest installment of The Bachelor spin off shows last night. Molly got her fairytale wedding at ABCs expense, including getting to walk down the aisle to her favorite song “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” sung by Jason Castro (loved his rendition and the 2nd song he sang at the end of the wedding by the way!).
Several parts of this wedding show were much better than the Trista and Ryan show. The “Vegas bachelor/bachelorette” parties were actually much classier and did not include the drama of the wayward almost groom-to-be breaking his future bride’s heart by being found drunk under some anonymous woman’s lap. Jason and Molly “partied” but ended the evening laughing together before they parted ways until their wedding the next day. I also love that they were completely undaunted by the blowing winds and pouring rain on their heads as they exchanged their vows with the biggest grins on their faces. I know it is all “TV”… but this wedding seemed to have some “real” happy people joining their lives together.
What I was not a fan of was the usual parade of the “ghosts of Bachelor/Bachelorette past.” Honestly? Do we really need to see a cheeky Trista and jaw clinched Ryan any more? Do we need to see Deanna Pappas with her newest boyfriend? Or even that Charlie guy with one of the women he is dating but *not* engaged to? How about Jillian and Ed who also dodge the “when are you getting married?” question. Oh well! Can’t win ’em all! 😉
TTFN!
