On my most recent air travel journey I was seated in coach (of course). I am not really in a position to be frivolous enough to afford First Class.
I did get the privilege of flying 1st class once. It was a random opportune upgrade from coach to 1st class. It was the best! The seat was comfortable, the drinks came faster and the food was better. Evidently, I was not the average 1st class passenger. I was filled with gratitude and awe every time the flight attendant came by to offer niceties. By the end of the flight the attendant was evidently so delighted with my disposition that she sent me on my way with a bottle of champagne.
Back to my most recent flight, my coach seat was right behind the 1st class section. I may have been in the tight-seat, cold-cereal section of the plane… but on that day, my left foot traveled in 1st class! HA! (No special amenities were received by the fortunate foot.)
“First class is what’s wrong. It used to be a better meal. Now it’s a better life.” (from “Jerry Maguire”) 😉
