The original reason for the title of this blog was from the first post back in Nov. 2006 on “Bridges” at Blogger. That first post detailed how I was fired from a non-profit (a.k.a. “Christian”) organization solely based upon my sexual orientation (which they learned from an “anonymous” email from one of their “donors” who said they were withdrawing their funding).
A lot has happened since then.
The blurb born from those events and that first post was:
“A city known for its diversity & inclusion (Corvallis) is home to a ‘non-profit’ organization that shows by its actions that it is against both (while their motto has been ‘building bridges in the community’).”
About moving from Blogger to WordPress:
Near the end of April ‘08 I discovered that my blog over at blogger had been “locked” and was viewable only by me (if I logged in). I looked into this in blogger’s help groups, and apparently, there are many other blogger authors in this limbo presently as well! Evidently, at the beginning of 2008 blogger began to search for, and crack down on, what blogger deemed “TOS violations” (e.g.: “spam blogs”). The problem with their “crack down” is the sheer volume of blogs for blogger to scan leaves room for error. The big error that affected my little blog (IMO) was “false positive detection.” I searched and waited for remedy for a week on the (difficult to navigate and not very user-friendly) blogger help site, but without remedy I just decided to move my blog.
In December ‘08 I received the following from Blogger: “Since you’re an actual person reading this, your blog is probably not a spam blog. Automated spam detection is inherently fuzzy, and we sincerely apologize for this false positive.” They had noted that they would email me within 2 business days. I have not heard back from them. I am still very glad I moved my blog home to WordPress!

Interesting ways for me to tell you a little more about me…
Your Taste in Music Says You’re Wild |
![]() Your musical tastes are intense and rebellious. You are intelligent… but in a very unconventional way. You are curious about the world. You love doing something new. In fact, you enjoy taking risks and doing things most people would shy away from. You are very physical. It’s likely that you’re athletic, but not into team sports. You have the soul of an artist. Beauty and harmony are important to you. |
You Are An ENFP |
| “The Inspirer”:
“You love being around people, and you are deeply committed to your friends. You are also unconventional, irreverent, and unimpressed by authority and rules. Incredibly perceptive, you can usually sense if someone has hidden motives. You use lots of colorful language and expressions. You’re quite the storyteller! In love, you are quite the charmer. And you are definitely willing to risk your heart. You often don’t follow through with your flirting or professed feelings. And you do break a lot of hearts. At work, you are driven but not a workaholic. You just always seem to enjoy what you do. You would make an excellent entrepreneur, politician, or journalist. How you see yourself: compassionate, unselfish, and understanding When other people don’t get you, they see you as: gushy, emotional, and unfocused.” |
What is says about you: You are a passionate person. You appreciate everyone around you. You are a good listener and your friends are glad to have you around in difficult times. Those around you admire your fresh outlook and vitality.
