I love that song, there’s a great video for it on YouTube. It’s sweet and funny and really inspiring. Love it!
Funny you should post this today. Hm. I work at a university where every Friday, according to the administration, we are encouraged to wear the school athletic colors. It’s called Pride Day. I am not interested in athletics and can’t imagine any circumstance where I would voluntarily don school athletic colors. But I decided today that for me, every Friday will indeed be Pride Day. I will, every Friday that school is in session, wear something prominent that has a rainbow on it.
Oddly enough, I found something today at a store in the mall which shall remain nameless because I think I should probably hate it except I don’t which embarrasses me terribly (OK it’s Claire’s – sob). It was a necklace with a leather “string” upon which were strung rainbow beads and in the center a metal oval with the word Wish engraved on it. I didn’t get it because I was With Children and was insisting on keeping to our list (hair products for upcoming dance performance). But I’m TOTALLY going back to get that necklace before next Friday. Woot!
Rainbows. That’s my kinda Friday Pride Day. Booooyaaaaaa!!!
