… a cheap hose from Home Depot (or anywhere else I suppose).
- The first ten minutes wrestling with the hose
- The second ten minutes attempting to un-kink the hose
- The third ten minutes struggling to untangle the unholy mess that is the hose (you get the idea)
- Running back and forth to turn water off so I can continue to contend with the useless pile of rubber
- iPod ear buds constantly falling out of my ears (you know, during the struggle)
- Sunglasses falling off my face (yeh, same reason)
- Change of clothes needed once I got tired of turning off water while untangling the mess… got soaked in the process
- Cracked sprayer handle from all the times I dropped it to go untangle the water-stopping hose kinks
- That is one hour of my life I’ll never get back
- Having to cleverly re-coil said hose so that that I won’t have to go through all of this next time I use it!

I turned the water on full blast and just went
around unkinking the damned thing…When I
got to the end…You guessed it…I got the hosing
of my life…

HA!!! Well, the first hour of wrestling with the hose… Nope. But the rest? I actually enjoyed!
I remember buying the hoses that would claim to NEVER “kink” on me. But those hoses were ALWAYS the heaviest and hardest to roll up on the hose wheel. Considering my hoses never kink that much, I just go with the cheap one and it’s SO MUCH easier to manage.
Hmm… I see your point. I have had one of those bulky “never kink” hoses also. I was thinking I would have been glad for one of those hose wheels!
These hoses are the reason why I will never garden!
