Today is an absolutely beautiful day! Beautiful blue sky, light occasional breezes and zero humidity! What a gift!
My wife has been enjoying wandering all around our new yard putting her pruning and landscaping skills to good use. She just knows exactly how to trim a bush! (Mind outta the gutter… a different bush today.)

As I sit in the shade and enjoy this perfect little sanctuary under several Maple trees in our yard (pictured at right), I have also been enjoying the simple pleasures of connection. Yes, definitely, connection with my sweet wife as she passes by for a quick kiss when the neighbors aren’t looking. But also the pleasantly surprising connection when various of my Tweet Peeps sprinkle replies or comments throughout the day. Maybe that is one of the mysteries of the popularity of Blogging and Twittering. That extra aspect of connection that the medium can provide.
However you are spending your day today, I wish you all plenty of “perfection” and connection. Now, it’s about time to move to the front of the yard as the neighbors have set up their BBQ part in the back yard. See, connection can be a fickle thing! LOL! When we want it–it’s great… when we don’t… we move on!

I’m so happy that you’re able to enjoy your holiday. We are too…in spite of doing absolutely nothing.
Glad you guys are enjoying too! {HUGS}!!
I’m so glad y’all had a great 4th!

I had a great one too
I saw a bear, and on the way to watch the
parade in town we came across a doe with
her two babys…The doe went across the street
and we along with another lady blocked traffic
so the hubby and I could carry the baby’s across
the street…OH THEY WERE SO CUTE AND LIGHT
AS A FEATHER! I wish I had pictures
But I was more worried about getting those
babies across to momma….
LOVE AND HUGS!!!!!!!!

AH!!! It was a simple quiet and enjoyable one! Fortunately we live in a small enough town that the fireworks were all over pretty early.
Sounds like you had a GREAT trip with some cool sightings!! That is so cool that you helped the little creatures!! U & hubby rock!

All those maple trees will mean a lot of raking this Fall. But then again, plenty of piles of leaves to jump into and throw around.
OH!!! I hadn’t yet thought of that! Will miss the privacy the leaves offer… but I will enjoy the possibility to romp in those leaves!
Hey Steven! I hadn’t yet thought about those leaves falling in autumn. I will miss them for the privacy they offer, but will enjoy the possibility for a romp in those leaves!
