“Top 100 reasons I am glad I am a lesbian”—Part 2:
My personal “top 100″ reasons continued…
26. OK, I’ll say it, two words: comfortable shoes!
27. Softness.
28. I respect my partner now.
29. My partner isn’t ogling other women.
30. Nurtured when I am sick.
31. Smoothness.
32. Not having to worry about getting pregnant.
33. Are you kidding? She is hot!
34. Relationship is egalitarian not dictatorial.
35. OK, how bout a simpler reason: I get to use the remote!
36. Making love happens after I get in the room.
37. The curves…
38. No finding used condoms on the floor.
39. My partner doesn’t go to the store un-showered and in sweats.
40. I don’t always have to be the “designated driver.”
41. My partner is not always and automatically “right.”
42. Flowers and other romantic gestures (on other days besides Valentine’s Day).
43. Finesse in the art of lovemaking.
44. No stubble burn when kissing my partner.
45. The feminine touch…
46. I can still breathe when she kisses me.
47. Breasts!
48. She prefers my company to that of a video game.
49. If my partner is hungry, she just makes herself something to eat.
50. Sex is mutually satisfying.

One of the 100 reasons should be
your partner knows when you need to
be held.
That is one thing that I don’t get…..I’ll be in tears
and my husband will wonder what happened now?
With another woman it’s OK to just cry and have
no reason. They understand when to just hold you
and make it all better. You’re so lucky. Both of
you are. Just today it was a toss up between
killing my husband or killing myself. He’s still
alive. I on the other hand died a little more.
I’ve never watched The L Word. I have seen it
advertised.
HUGS!!!
Exactly Laurie–perfect! That will be at the top of “part 3″! How could I not have included that yet? It is SO true! That is one of the best reasons!
Aw Laurie… {big hug}… my heart goes out to you when I read that last line before the L Word part. Sending you an extra hug!
Great reasons. I’d be lucky to come up with 25 if I tried. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Steven! I have often joked about “the reasons” over the last decade at home, and my step-daughter challenged me to write them down… and so I have been!
Number 26. “OK, I’ll say it, two words: comfortable shoes!” really made me chuckle. That has been one of my comedy answers to friends who have wondered why I “switched” to the dark side
(The first time I met another lesbian in real life flesh I asked her if she wanted to be in my shoe club, consciously unaware of the loaded meaning he he.)
