Gay Rights Watch is reporting that “Oregon anti-gays admit possible failure” in their pursuits to repeal Oregon’s Domestic Partnership law and Anti-discrimination law.
It is always an interesting side-bar to note that the “Oregonians” who are fighting to overturn our equality laws are in fact NOT from Oregon. Alliance Defense Fund folks are from Arizona, and apparently some of the Concerned Oregonians players are really from Tennessee.
Restore America is also emailing supporters with discouraging updates on the feasibility of gathering enough signatures for both IP 145 and 146 by the deadline, stating that they may be “too late.” (from Just Out blog)
As always, Amy Ruiz at Portland Merc. has an engaging take on this news as well.
So… we may just be closer to uncorking the champagne. I remain cautiously optimistic, and also grateful for all the people who work so hard for our equality laws in Oregon!

They’re loosing? Should I cry now? HA!!HA!! There, I cried
for them. heehee!! That is some really good news though.
It would be great for them to just drop it now and walk
away.
HUGS!!!
It is nice to even get a hint at some good news in Oregon since Feb. huh?
It would make sense to just “drop it” at this point, but I have a feeling they will stick it out until the “fat lady sings”!
